Starting Position
- Standing in an athletic position, holding medicine ball at waist level
Procedure
- Bring the ball straight up in front of you and ultimately behind your head
- Pulling from your stomach, throw the ball into the ground in front of you
- Repeat for prescribed number of repetitions
Coaching Keys
- Pull from your stomach to initiate the throw
- Your feet may leave the ground during the throw
- Keep your hips tall during the throw
