Abbott Nutrition’s EAS brand announces a partnership with “I Play Clean™”, an organization founded by NFL Hall of Famer Dick Butkus. The “I Play Clean™” campaign mission is to strengthen the future of sports by educating and encouraging high school students to make the right choices. “I Play Clean™” and the EAS brand support training hard, eating well and playing with attitude, instead of resorting to shortcuts and unsafe performance enhancing products. The two organizations will work together on a number of initiatives focused on delivering sports nutrition education to youth athletes, coaches and parents nationwide.

About I Play Clean: “I Play Clean™” is a campaign formed by legendary Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus and his son Matt to encourage high school athletes to choose proper nutrition and training, and playing with attitude, instead of resorting to illegal and risky steroids and performance-enhancing drugs. Butkus was motivated to act when learning that more than a half-million high school teens reported experimenting with these substances for performance and appearance purposes. The “I Play Clean™” campaign is a program of the Butkus Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization focused primarily on youth health and wellness. The campaign is supported by Butkus Foundation contributors, along with Old Spice and now the EAS brand. More information is available at www.iplayclean.org and www.butkusfoundation.org.
